| Summary | 0010226: Support authentication of CTest submissions | ||||||||||||
| Description | Till Adam recently mentioned his concern that there is no authentication mechanism for CDash test submissions. In many cases this is acceptable, but it should be possible for a project to require authenticated submission only. This could be turned on in the CDash interface, and added as a variable in CTest such that an authentication token would be sent to the web server. Projects such as KDE would like this to protect against possible denial of service attacks. This might require additional CDash interface code to allow an administrator to grant user accounts permission to submit results to a given project. | ||||||||||||

Do you envision a random 40-characters key enough or would you require a full ssl certificate authentication? |
