| Summary | 0001979: Paraview unresponsive large datasets | ||||||||||||
| Description | Every now and again, rendering will completely freeze, I will have to wait 10s of seconds before I can actually manipulate the model. This is NOT simply because paraview is drawing the detailed image. This is NOT because the machines are swapping. (The model fits within memory.. and top on each node confirms it.) For example, first I load a big polygon model. (Such as: ftp://ftp.cyberware.com/pub/samples/hip/hip.ply.gz [^]) I can rotate the model normally for a minute or two, and then paraview just stops responing. Even though I continue to move the mouse, the model stops moving. Eventually it comes back, but the model spins crazily as paraview tries to catch up. Configuration: One Client, and Two Servers: Launch commands: pvclient --reverse-connection -tdx=1 -tdy=2 pvserver -rc --client-host client.hp.com -tdx=1 -tdy=2 NOTE: This also appears if we don't use tiled displays, and simply have multi render servers and a single client. NOTE2: This may be related to bug-id 1461 | ||||||||||||
