| Summary | 0002700: SNL: Core dumps of very large memory forces reboot | ||||||||||||
| Description | A bug has been reported where paraview freezes up the computer when it tries to get a VERY VERY VERY large amount of memory, fails, and then tries to core cump that memory. This user also has ulimit -c unlimited in his .cshrc file. One hack is reported to be running ulimit -c 0 prior to execution of ParaView. It would be nice if ParaView didn't write core files that killed the machine. | ||||||||||||
